A Better Standard Direction: A Cultural Shift of Restoration

Abstract: The world is on the verge of a shift in consciousness from an extractive imperial framework that has taken over towards one of interconnection of all Beings. There is a yearning among humanity for reconnection, in order to do this we must be willing to address our current disconnection from human nature and our historic relationship with the natural world. A Better Standard Direction is a framework prioritizing restorative practices towards an end goal of using Ecopsychology to root into human connection with the Earth.

This paper is designed to help individuals understand the origins and purpose of this framework, the values held in the invisible movement, and the desire to usher in a new awareness of interconnection. This interconnection will bring the balance that is required for harmony as one living Earth. The reader will embark on a journey towards how to choose restorative action using the wisdom of Mother Earth’s abundance, as embodied in the ideology of ecopsychology and the ideals of love and interconnection.
